People gathered along University Avenue to watch the funeral procession.  Some were wearing stick-on moustaches.

I haven’t read a count of how many people gathered outside of Roy Thompson Hall to watch the funeral, but I’m going to guess it was a lot.

RIP Jack.

It’s quite amazing.  Almost all of Nathan Philips Square is covered in chalk messages to Jack, and today there were hundreds of people lined up for a public viewing inside city hall.

Tomorrow there will be a state funeral held at Roy Thompson Hall.

After the premiere, there was a Q&A with the cast and crew, and then everyone headed to Tattoo Rock Parlour on Queen West for the after party.

I love this cast & crew picture.  From L-R, Nick Maiorino (Marshall), Alexander Narizini (Art Director), Kelsey Oluk (Kim), Dylan Argument (Sound Mixer), Irena Angeloutsa (Victoria), Brooks Hunter (Writer/Producer/Director), Vincent Galvez (Writer/Producer), and Josef Malonzo (Ben).

The 2-man band is called Automatic Toys (Myspace, Facebook) and they got in touch with me because they were throwing together a last minute music video shoot and wanted me to do some still photography.  It was at a sound stage in Mississauga, and a professional event lighting team was there with awesome lasers and fog machines and stuff.

At one point I was standing on a piece of plastic and lifted up by a forklift.  Everything was great until I lowered my camera from my face and realized how high I was and that I had nothing to hold on to, and I almost peed my pants.  It was fun though.  (I sat down after that.)

Good times.

I’m going to be opening up print sales soon.  I wanted to wait for Photoshelter to partner with a Canadian printer (or a US one that doesn’t charge $15+ for shipping), but for now I’m going to fulfill orders myself and sell through Photoshelter and my (currently empty) Etsy store.  Update to follow soon.

I’ve recently teamed up with the new “glorious site of epic awesomeness”, CultureGET, to photograph events.  You can view some of my pictures from last week’s Comic Con here.  This week I’ll be visiting the new Harry Potter exhibit at the Ontario Science Centre, so check CultureGET for an official preview of the exhibit!  What does Harry Potter have to do with science?  Find out on Thursday!

On a personal note, wow, my photography has changed so much in less than a year. I learned a lot at this wedding.

No pictures of anyone throwing anything into a fountain, check.

Aside from some traditional posed shots with their families, they wanted to enjoy their wedding without having to worry about the photography or posing for pictures.  My job was to basically act how I would on a film set – take as many pictures as possible while being noticed as little as possible.  Alyson is a film producer and we have worked together, so she knows how I work on a film set, which is to stand back and watch people and capture as much as I can.

The wedding was at Alyson’s family’s cottage in Muskoka, and the reception was held at a restaurant on the lake.  The whole day was amazing.  Alyson and Emma have such a great group of friends and an incredibly loving family.  I’ve not even finished editing the pictures yet, but I wanted to post some anyway, so here’s a sneak peak.
